Have you ever tasted that cold, acid- like tang of fear? It`s the distinct flavour of cold chills and nausea threatening to overwhelm us. No matter how strong we are, there is always something that can cause the heart to flutter and the pulse to weaken. Fear is as paralysis of the brain. It makes our thoughts become arthritic and our memory sluggish. Like an oversized growth, fear soon becomes impossible to camouflage. Telltale signs like trembling knees or quivering lips betray fear even in the most disciplined person. Fear is the nightmare of the stage; it haunts the hearts of the timid, as well as the intimidated.
To me, there is no fear like the fear of the innocent. This is the fear of a child who walks into the dark basement to find the light switch far from reach- every mop and bucket becomes a sinister, sleazy creature whose cold breath lurks upon the neck of life`s little apprentice. I can remember moments as a child when I thought my heart had turned into an African tom-tom that was being beaten by an insane musician whose determined beating would soon break through my chest like the bursting of flood engorged dam. Maturity has chased many of the ghost and goblins out of my youthful closet of fear. Nevertheless, there are still those occasional moments when reason gives way to the fanciful imagination of the fearful little girl in women, who peeks her head out of my now fully developed frame the way a turtle sticks his head out of its shell with caution and precision.
Luckily God understands this hidden, fearful part within each of us. He understands the child in us, and speaks to our blanket- clutching, thumbs-sucking, infantile need. In spite of our growth, income, education, or fame, there`s still childhood issues we have to work through. The lord looks beyond our facades and knows our innermost needs. No matter how spiritually mature we try to appear, there is still lingering evidence of a too quick temper or weakness in the face of temptation that only the father can see. It is He alone whom we must trust to see the very worst in us, yet still think the very best of us. It is the unfailing love which we accept with the faith of a child.

Our lives, and incidents and situations that happen in many instances appear to be a haphazard, erratic display of a madman who gets pleasure from seeing his subject suffer and live in despair. But with God, this is not the case. There is an answer to the riddle. There is an answer to the question, clarity to the confusion, and calmness in the chaos. A bright knew day dawns after the dark night. There is a time and a purpose to everything under the sun, a method in the madness (T.D Jakes). Knowing the purpose for your life is one of the greatest assets to help understand and make sense of the perplexities and complications that seem to overwhelm. People who posses such knowledge possess power. When you are assured of your purpose, you are not fearful of external personal conflicts that attempt to hinder you. Why? Because you know with confidence that sooner or later every trial, every hindering situation, and every opposing person and thing in your life will eventually and inevitability bow and submit to God `s plan and purpose for your life. It`s just a matter of time and circumstance. When you know your purpose , you won’t sit and passively allow things to occur that are contrary to God`s plan for your life. Neither will you be so quick to get discouraged when situations bring conflict and disorder to your life. You will know all things are working together for your good, because you are called according to his purpose.
You don’t become frustrated or overwhelmed by those things you can`t pray away, rebuke away, cast away, fast away, confess away, or speak away. Why because you know that if it`s in your life, God has allowed it. He will bring you into that purpose for which you were created.AII things , not some, work together for good of those who love the lord. Therefore, if you are confused, ready to give up, wondering what`s going on and what all the turmoil and chaos you`re experiencing is about, ask God, “Why?” He just might say, “It`s about purpose.”Maybe he is building a foundation of character of your life. Perhaps it will enable you to obtain success and blessing that is to be poured into your life. Maybe it is a prelude to the powerful anointing that is about to come upon you. You know your help comes not from others, but from God. Do you understand what I`m saying? I know you do .If you don’t you `d better ask somebody ! But don`t just ask anybody , ask Him! Remember this-fix in your mind and take it to your heart: “Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God and there is no other. I am God and there is none like me. I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”(Isaiah 46:9-10)

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure, we ask ourselves  who am l to be gorgeous, talented, brilliant and fabulous actually who are you not to be, we were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us and as we let our light shine we subconsciously give other people permission to do the same.” From a movie called Akeelah and the Bee

There has never been a time in history when most people did not believe that possessing great wealth was the key to happiness .Yet time and again we have seen millionaires and billionaires who lead miserable lives.

We have watched their children wander through life aimlessly, doing one self destructive thing after another. For example, the likes of celebrities such as Lindesay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, they have all the worth you could ever possible want, but still you can see by the way they are portrayed in the tabloids that they lead miserable and empty lives. Some have even used their wealth to destroy others. Why? Because their wealth consisted of temporal things, not eternal. Do not get me wrong, though, material wealth is not evil in and of itself. Ten rand in the hands of a criminal or a pastor is still ten rand! The bible says it is the love of the money that is root of all evil.

Mankind must avoid being controlled and owned by material wealth. Let`s suppose that a father says to his daughter or son “That car out in the drive way is yours. Here are the keys , do with it as you please.”

Does that car belong to the son? Yes, because the father has said so. Has he possessed it yet? Not until he goes it yet? Not until he goes out there, gets in it, turns the key in the ignition, and drives away. It`s his, but he has yet to take it.

It sounds like a paradox to say, “it`s yours” and then to say  “Go, take it,” but that`s the position God puts us in. The problem people have is that they don’t know what is already theirs. And even they know, they do not believe it or act on it.

Before the son could go out and get in that car and drive away, he would have to know and believe that his father had said to him, “Son, that car is your car. I have given it to you.”Do you believe God owns what you need? Do you even believe that God actually wants to give you what you need?

The first step to possessing our inheritance is knowing and believing that God has what we need. The second step is personally taking possession of what has been decreed, bequeathed, or given to us.

Most believers seem to spend their entire lives reading the will and shouting over the contract, but never moving out and obtaining what God has given them. Everything you could possibly need is available to you in the full measure you could ever desire it. Let me assure you today, you are rich beyond measure. But you still have to take hold of what God has promised you and what God has already given you. Tremendous life changing, abundant blessings are waiting for us if we will only pursue them and possess them in faith.
